How do you control a Pneumatic Lift Truck?
Widely utilized in delivery plants, the pneumatic forklift or pallet vehicle, can be used to transfer materials that are positioned onto pallets. Visually inspect the pallet truck before loading. Make sure the wheels are clear of any potential obstructions. Additionally, ensure the handle moves effortlessly and turns properly. Check the pallet prior to moving it to assess if it is stacked in a way that minimizes the chance of anything falling off during lifting. Release any air in the pump and drop the forks to the floor by squeezing the lever mounted on the inside of the metal ring on the end of the lever. Slide the blades into the slots in the pallet and ensure the blades are centered so that the pallets’ weight is evenly spread.
Pump the pneumatic lift handle up and down to elevate the forks from the ground. Stop pumping once the pallet is fully off the ground as there is no need to lift it any higher or risk losing stability while turning. In order to progress the pallet, pull the handle behind you; don't push it. There will be a large amount of momentum existing. Refrain from quick or sharp turns and do not stop too swiftly. Gently bring the pallet to a halt where you would like to park it. Squeeze the lever within the grip end to return the forks to the floor. Withdraw the forks and restore the pallet jack to a suitable parking area or continue onto the next job.

Obtain a lift truck dump bucket. This apparatus comes in two general versions, either self-dumping or the traditional unit. Self dumping hoppers would automatically dump on contact with the dumpster. Traditional hoppers or dump buckets require the use of the tilt lever in order to tilt the prongs downward until they reach a 45 degree angle. Once the contents dump out, return the prongs to the level position. Lower the prongs back to floor level before returning to the facility.
